My Mirage Substrata 1500 appears to be giving up the ghost. It is starting to break up (rattle, flutter?) during loud explosions etc. I am considering the Velodyne SPL1500R as a replacement. Wife will never go for larger boxes such as the SVS subs. The reviews I have read appear to be positive. The room is large (25X15X8 with a couple of alcoves) probably around 3100 CF.

Any suggestions appreciated
