i have a few questions for people with the samsung sir-t351.

i know its an old HDTV box but i am poor and i buy what i can afford..haha

1.can the t351 get an EPG for ntsc cable? like will it tell me whats on court-tv or msnbc?

2.can the t351 produce an EPG for ota atsc channels?

3.how is the EPG for the t351?

i am pretty hyped about having a real electronic program guide....not just having no info available like my ts360 and ts160 does.

it is pretty safe to assume i will not have this problem with the t351 like i do with the other 2 i mentioned.

i imagine quite a few people still use this receiver..i would have picked up a new dtb-360f but i was told it would not output a guide via the s-video..:(

I maybe mistaken but the EPG doesn't work for cable, only OTA (Over the Air) reception. The cable system normally, not always, has their own that they provide on a separate channel.. The EPG recieved via OTA in Denver is very poor as the stations do not always keep it or the time updated. I view it often but I know how poorly the stations keep it updated. The other night it was showing the call letters of one station but the programs were from another station. Then it intermixed the show listings (2 shows at 7:00pm on the station selected).
It seems that the OTA stations struggle with their broadcasts and the EPG has the lowest priority. (One station had the time off by over an hour for months but the other stations were close (5 to 10 min) of being on time.)
