I need your help and opinions.

While out shopping this Black Friday I reluctantly grabbed Heavenly Sword at Target for $48. I guess the chick on the cover appealed more to me than anything else. LOL...Sad.

Anyway...I played the demo online a long time ago and just thought it was OK...got frustrated because there was no jump button.

I was just wondering what everyone else thought...is is a game worth owning or only a rental and I should get my money back? Thanks!

I thought it was a great game all the way around. Entertained the thought of buying at one time, but ended up renting and glad I went that route. Loved the game but no real desire to go through it more than once. Of course that's just me.

It may be a great game and it may also be a rental. Those things aren't mutually exclusive.

No matter how good the game is, if it's only a 5 or 6 hour game - and you're not the kind of person who plays games over and over - it may be better to rent it.

So the question is, would you play a game like this over and over after you've finished it? If so, you should probably buy HS. If not, the game is short enough that you could play it once or twice during a rental weekend.

I loved the game and still own my copy, have completed it twice, once on hell mode.

How are the graphics? Better than that demo we had?

there are definitely more impressive levels than the demo, but there are also some less impressive. overall, its still one of the best looking PS3 titles (minus the flickering shadows).

as for the game, it was one of the best third-person action games i've played (and i'm a big fan of the genre) however, it is quite short and there are only 2 difficulty settings. i bought it, beat it twice then sold it. ill probably pick it up again when it drops to 30 bucks just because it is one of those games that you might want to keep in your collection.

48 bucks is a pretty good deal. i would play it, then decide if you want to keep it or not. if not, sell it like i did.

for $48 i'd say keep it.

it's a great game and after a few minutes, you completely forget the need to jump.
about an 8 hour game, but the time spent on it is very enjoyable. tha acting is fantastic and the enemies are... delightful and wicked.

thanks for all the comments...much appreciated! I also picked up Virtual Tennis 3 for $19 that day Target. Not the greatest game but fun nonetheless with another player...just wish it had online.

Is there any chance for any downloadable content for Heavenly Sword from the PSN Store?

No, you should send it to me.

OK...that will be $48 for postage and handling. What address should I send it to?

there was a quote a little while back from someone at team ninja(i believe) saying that if the demand was there they would add more content through downloads.
not sure what the current status of that is right now though.

Part of the reason I kept mine... but mostly because I want to support games like it. One of my all-time favs.
