So, I upgraded to HD yesterday and they brought the HD DVR that I bought from D*. I asked about getting the HR-20 b/c I need an OTA to get my locals in HD, they gave me the standard line that they don't know what I will end up with. The installer only had the HR-21 (he actually didn't know the difference between the two). I like the fact that it is black which matches my other equipment but it sucks that I can't get my local OTA channels run through it. I was told by D* that I could cancel my entire order and go purchase a HR-20 from a store. I decided not to do this b/c I haven't see any stores selling a black HR-20.
If I am able to find and buy one, what would I do w/ the HR-21? i don't need both and didn't want to spend 2 x's $299.
Anyone have any suggestions on this?

It's a leased unit, your only option is cancel as suggested or you may end up eating the $299 up front lease fee.

The black HR20's are rare, if you need OTA, you'll probably have to go silver.

Thanks. I just spoke with D*. They are going to try and send me a black hr-20 if they have it. if not, a silver one. They are not charging me for it as long as I return the HR-21.
I really wish they made more boxes in black.
