Hi,

Is anyone using their h710 without major issues? Specifically looking for people who have had troubles and then repaired/replaced it and are now worry free. Also, looking for people who solved their problems by replacing the bulb.

Well way back when this first came out I had the startup issue like everyone else with about 300hrs. Got it back working great and have probably 5800 hours on it since then w/o a problem at all. I use it as my main tv and I've watched for 8-10 hours at a time on many occasions. I'm on my 3rd lamp now and I still love the image. Only thing I have are a few dust blobs since I was stupid enough to try and clean the dust using compressed air by blowing into the exhaust vent. They're minor and only show up on really dark scenes, eventually I'll get them removed. I cant really imagine the picture getting better than this especially with HD content. I use a hi-power screen and it seems like I have a 110" plasma. My .02

I have an (R) at the end of the model# on my product label, at the back of the PJ?

Does this mean that it's refurbed? When I registered mine yesterday, the Samsung guy said that it came up as "new" and that they had no record of it being refurbed. Its a July 2006 build.

There is also an ink stamp at the top right hand corner (about 1/4" size). It is a circle with an R in it. Sort of like a "registered trademark" stamp.

Dust blobs? Hmmm...thought something this high end would have sealed optics. Not that "sealed optics" is a guarantee.
