Hi all.
I have a yamaha lpx-510 that was in for service around the 2 yr mark (12/06) b/c of blue blotches on the screen. It was a repair fiasco (wont bore you with the details) but it was a broken light engine that needed to be replaced.
I got it back 1/07. Shortly thereafter, I noticeed a series of what I assume are stuck green subpixels that run diagonally on the right half of the screen (about 6-7 pixels in length) Each green stuck supixel makes up a very small portion of the individual pixel. They are most evident on either a green, gray or skin toned background and least evident on black. My wife does not notice it but I do see it periodically b/c I know where it is. Other than that, the projector has been working fine.
I did nothing about it until now when I decided to fire off an email to Yamaha re the isssue and to give them some feedback. To my surprise, they are offering a one time out of warranty repair if I send it in to United Radio.
I hate to have to take down my proj yet again, fed ex it to United Radio, run the risk of any shipping damage, have them crack open the unit yet again, and going through the whole repair fiasco without any guarantees that it will be 100% at the end.
What do you think. Any help/thoughts would be appreciated
Thanks

I think you know the answer... If there is something wrong with the projector and it is bothering when you are watching and you can get it fixed for free?
