I am considering both of these cameras and had a question on how they operate. I want to tape my son's flag football game and end up with one file for the entire game while pausing or stop recording between the plays (a 60 minute game ends up being only 10 minutes of plays). Is there a mode on either of these cameras that will prevent a new file from being created every time I stop recording or allow me to merge them together at the end? If there are 60 plays I don't want to end up with 60 files that are 10 seconds long.

Are there any cameras that will do this (via on camera editing or a special pause mode)?, maybe Panasonic? I know the new HD samsung allows merging of clips, but it has poor video quality.
