i am looking for a budget sub, college student budget. the room its going into is pretty oddly shapped but i would say 12x15 is a good estimate of the space, imagine a townhouse living room. the subs i looked at are as follows

av123 xsub
dayton sub120
velodyne vx10
bic h-100-though i dont see where people find them for 200 cheapest i found them
which of these subs would be good for mostly movies not much music at all. i would also be up for other suggestions.

out of those I'd go for the H-100 1st, X-sub 2nd and vx10 third and remove the dayton from the list. I had it for a while and was disappointed and sent it back.

As for the price on the H-100 do an ebay search, there are 2 authorized dealers that constantly run auctions for the h-100 and they have a make an offer option which is were they get accepted around $200.

More like boomy is the word. Not very linear. For sheer output go with the Bic with it's bigger driver. For accuracy the 123 or the newly improved Velo.
