Hi,
I bought a reconditioned DMR-EH50 dvd recorder on eBay over a year ago and it has worked fine until last night, when it quit recording. Now everytime I press the record button ( in HDD mode ) the unit shuts down, then comes back up and puts a blue box on the TV saying: Error has occurred. Please press ENTER. Hitting enter causes it to shut down again and come back up. I can still view and edit all the titles already on the HD, just can't add any more. The display shows 48 hours of space left ( in LP/4hr mode ) And I only have 61 titles. I don't even use the cable TV input or timer - I do all my recording manually via the A/V cables from my vcr.
Any way to fix this?

Did you try resetting or rebooting it?

You can reset it by holding down the "channel up" and "channel down" buttons on the front of the recorder until it flashes off. Then just leave it until the flashing clock comes up.

If that doesn't help, try unpugging it for at least 30 seconds.

If you do need service, call the Panasonic repair facility in Elgin, IL. They should fix it for a flat fee of $139.00.
