Hi guys,
I got a Mitsubishi HD 1000. I'm looking for a inexpensive upconverting DVD player that you think will work well with the projector.
Any DVD players to avoid with DLP?

$80 to $200 price range.

Toshiba has a HD-DVD player for around $139.99. I believe it will also upconvert regular DVDs. It doesn't have the full 1080P HD but most DLPs can't project full 1080P anyways. It uses 720P/1080i HD format.

Avoid Faroudja-chip players; DLP owners often report enhanced macroblocking.

At $169, the Oppo 980 is well-liked here.
