I have an original MyFi receiver. Whenever the battery gets low(when using it in myfi mode) it completely loses all programming(presets, myfi scheduling, etc...) Has anyone seen this before. I am getting tired of reprogramming it.

Also, do the newer MyFi 2/3 receivers have a REAL fast forward button(ala Ipod)? All the original has is a chapter skip button and I am getting really sick of all the commercials on the talk channels. I may end up cancelling my subscription and getting an ipod and doing the podcast thing if I can't figure out a way to get around the commercials. Thanks for any info you may have.

save all your programming information, and then turn the radio off and back on. this allows the information to be written to the firmware to be remembered.

don't like the skip button? get an inno. no way to make it fast-forward.

The programming information has been saved to the firmware when it loses all programming. It might happen once every week or two, at that point it has been turned off and back on numerous times. I guess it is defective.

I don't mind the skip button for the XM commercials that it actually works for, but it doesn't work for commercials that are part of the program that I recorded. It will just skip over that whole section of the program including the material that I want to listen to. I just looked at the user manual for the inno, other than mp3's it doesn't do anything that the myfi doesn't, just smaller and more expensive. Guess I will start looking into podcasts as an option. Thanks for the info.
