Hey guys,

I have had a dedicated theater room with a FP for the last 5 years and am finally ready to make the plunge into the flat panel market. Problem is, all my so called "knowledge" is more FP specific and I haven't the slightest clue why:
1- I or anyone else woudl choose an LCD vs a Plasma,
2- how to chose a specific brand/model.

So, I am writing this with the hope that the flat panel experts and long term owners can share what they know, and may be point me to the right direction.
I do not mind reading 500 page articles, I just dont know who to read and which thread to rely on.

I would be using the TV for HD Viewing, PS3, and HD DVD.
Viewing distance is 8 feet and I really want to stay in the 42"-46" range.

dedicated theater room = dark? then plasma, no question. At 8 ft. you probably want 1080p also.
