I just removed the old lamp and notice that it could use some cleaning.I do see some reflective shiny surface thru wich the lamp shines.
Now my question is wil it be a good or bad idea to do this ?
Sorry for the haste but im eager to try out the new bulb since my old one was running @2400H already im eager to see how much improvement im gonna see.
Got my finger on F5 , You know how these things are :)

I doubt there is a problem, but if you need the reassurance, just blow it off with compressed air and pop it back in.

I already replaced the bulb and cleaned the compartment but i did not touch that reflective surface because i wasnt sure about it as i cannot identify it.Should i clean that part aswell or shouldnt i touch it?

The sad thing is i had one on order at www.hd.nl for €320 but after 1 month of waiting i got tired of it and they where the only ones offering it for that price.
