Home Audio newbie. Since re-carpeting the living room that has motivated me to re-do the old system. Bought an Onkyo SR705 Receiver, will use it to run a 7.1 set up. Will use my existing 12 yr old bookshelf Paradigms as sides and Klipsch Synergy Center, B3 Fronts, S2 rear surounds.Currently have a BA BX10sub that I am not too impressed with that I will replace.

Huge open space area, half ceiling is vaulted (20+') and half normal ht. Will only have floor space to run the sub 25' away from the Receiver/ TV and it will be in the lower ceiling half of the room.

What under $500 sub should I consider? 80-90% listening will be for TV/ DVD Movies ,though a lot of my daughter watching music video channels so that is more in the music end. Don't need earth shattering SPL, though I do want low-lows reproduced.
