This is a question for both Blu-Ray & HD-DVD fans. If you could choose 1 or 2 movies that are only available for the other format to be released on your format. What would you choose?

I own a PS3. So I am going with...

-Transformers
-Batman Begins

I just need 1....as for all others, they can keep it within HD-DVD family.

Transformers. Even though I bought it already in HD-DVD, I'll buy another one if it's release in Blu-Ray and then sell my HD-DVd version.

Not really a movie, but I would take the Battlestar Galactica series on Blu-Ray.

How many people here have purchased the other format, just for one movie or series?

Doesn't Transformers have a 1.5mb DD+ audio track?

About the other format thing...................
Being purple I don't care anymore, but I would say CE3K

Transformers on HD and the HD-A3 with 10 movies got me into this mess.

And last weekend Casino Royal and Paprika (soon) along with the 80g ps3/10 movies is what really finally dragged me under.

I've been browsing these forums for a long time, and now finally part of it :)

Why limit yourself to one or two when you can have and watch anyone you want to?

I know the Die Hard films pushed me over the edge into the Blu-ray camp. I was going to get a player when the Prestiege came out but it was the announcement of Die Hard coming to Blu-ray that sealed the deal. Three months later my movie collection is about 50-50 between the formats.

Transformers with lossless might have kept me from buying the A3. But since it was only $98, came with two in the box and 5 in the mail plus selling my Oppo 970 it's basically free!

Anyone else find it funny that the op titles it which ONE movie then listed two? :D

Transformers with DTS Master Audio.

Dan Hitchman

John Carpenter's The Thing with re-mastered/fully re-mixed 24 bit lossless audio.

Bourne
Battlestar
Serenity
Star Trek (although I would wait until it is heavily discounted - MSRP is crazy)

There are plenty of BD titles to keep me happy though.

I agree with this only if transformers on bd would have lossless audio. What a mistake!

Hmmmm.

And I can't believe no one besides me has said Inside Man. Great PQ, AQ, and a great overall movie which is the most important part.

Well I'm hoping Batman Begins, V for Vendetta, and Lucky Number Slevin all come to blu-ray at some point, so in that case these two would make me happy:

-Transformers
-Inside Man

I would also be happy to double dip on Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison, and would buy the Grinch. Thing that upsets me most about HD are the combo discs. If they want to sell them they should make them cheaper.

Well I'm gonna go with unreleased titles for each:
For BD: Braveheart
For HD DVD: The Abbys

But since I have both formats, I'll just wait for these announcement from the respective studios in any format. :D

'Transformers' but please with lossless sound!

And of course 'King Kong' but please the Deluxe Extended Edition also with Lossless sound! (imagine King Kong with PCM or DTS Master Audio! *dreaming*)
