I'm hoping someone can help me out here:

I'm on Chapter 15 (pretty sure it's 15 at least), in an arena like setting where there are 3 of those red, fire breathing dragon/T-Rex type things. I have gone all the way up the platforms to get the various items from the chests as well as the two scarabs.

My question is, do the dragons eventually stop spawning or is there some other way out of this area?

Thanks for the help,
Rob

I've never tried leaving before killing them all, but the path out is up the wall opposite where you came in. But in any area where there is stuff to fight you can fight to the end, the only infinite respawning in the game is when it's triggered by moving between areas.

I don't remember that particular part, but a way I could always tell if I was in a "challenge" or whatever they call the seemingly endless spawning, I would click on the karma meter and look at the time. If it is like 300 seconds or something, you know you are gonna be there for a while!

Is this game as good as I have been reading on other gaming sites? I picked up a PS3 Sunday, and I was looking to go buy this game today after work.
Any other recommendations for my first game purchase?

Depends what kind of game you like.

I REALLY enjoyed ninja gaiden sigma ALOT. But I like this sort of game. You should pick your first game from your favorite category (FPS, RPG, third-person-shooter, sports, racing, etc) and/or decide if multiplayer is important to you.

Very good game from a gameplay perspective. It's fun, challanging, and frustratingly difficult at times, but it is beat-able. Basically a streets of rage on steroids.

The storys pretty lame thou, don't expect much in that regards. It's all about the fight and challange to master the ninja (and some way cool boss battles).

Don't pick it up if you're one to sit down and try to beat a game in only a few sittings. Also be weary, it took me a month and a half to beat it cassually playing (1-2hours every few days, or so)

I wouldn't buy it. I hate it. Couldn't get past one of the early level bosses and haven't picked it up since. Its a lot of running around trying to figure out what wall you need to flip up and over, etc, and battling enemies that never seem to die..........

First games recommendations:

Call of Duty 4 (amazing graphics and most realistic war game I've ever played, great internet multiplayer keeps you playing)
Resistance (great fantasy style shooter, great internet multi)
Warhawk (amazingly fun mayhem, fantasy style 3PS, my favorite PS3 game, internet multi only)
Formula 1 Racing (great graphics, realistic F1 racing)

So basically you are not good at games that give you a challenge? You want the AI to just stand their and allow you to beat them? You do know who made this game?

Agreed!

This game isn't for everyone, but his recommendations really put his views on good games in perspective. Not that there's anything wrong with those games, or his opinions, but 2 FPS, a 3rd PS, and a car sim. Besides the car sim, there's little of anything else then run and gun and get good timing and headshots.

I'm pretty sick of run of the mill FPS, especially on consoles which tend to nuke them, so NGS was a great game. But don't trust us, download the demo and see for yourself [and try some of the harder difficulties]

I loved the original Ninja Gaiden on Xbox and when I pick up my PS3, I'll be getting NGS along with it.

I had NG (Xbox), NG: Black, and also purchased NG: Σ. No regrets here!
