I am looking at getting an entry level camcorder that I can use for family videos and minor editing using iMovie on my Mac.
My budget is $200. I know it is low, but I am looking for a simple camcorder that will record decent video quality.
Are the Canon ZR800 and Panasonic PV-GS80 decent cameras? I have read reviews of each on Amazon.com and they seem to say that the Canon has a noise to it when recording. I have a canon point and shoot that I am happy with so I am leaning in that directions but the Panasonic's reviews seem promising. I am confused to say the least.
Any advice? Suggestions on other camcorders?
Thanks,
