Anyone here had any experience with Optoma service and what's the longest you've waited to get your projector back?
I sent my H78DC3 projector for service to Optoma...had the common issues (white flashing lights/color banding on dark scenes). Was told I need a new engine and it's on order. It's been three weeks now and the're still waiting for the part to arrive before they can work on it.

The part has to come from Taiwan, lucky they still have the light block. Passed projector and a good one, built ground up and not a already standing platform. It was a crown acheivment model for them. I have the same model H79 sitting on my ceiling right now as my main HT-projector. Hang in there you'll be back.

For me it was months (at their Milpitas facility) with a DVI problem. When I got it back there was no change. That was my last Optoma.

I finally received my Optoma yesterday (almost a month). After a couple of hours testing, looks like the problem was fixed, no more flashing white light. On the repair report, it stated that the Optic Engine Module H77 was replaced.
Not too happy with the way they handled my projector, upon opening the box, they did not even put it back in the original plastic bag and the case has some scratches on it and has some dirty print marks.
I will need to do some more viewing to check on the other issue (blotchy bluish/purplish color on dark scenes/color banding).

I've had to have repairs done on a couple of occasions and Optoma Canada was very quick with the turnaround. Unfortunately, I too was greeted by an unexpected surprise or two when my H57 was returned. Although they serviced the unit well, there was a scratch on the casing that I don't recall being there prior to sending it in and they also had infected the optics with dust blobs. There were no dust blobs, not one, when I boxed it up to send it in for repair. :(

Those that got them back scratched etc. have you compared your serial numbers with the ones you sent in?
Also Guitarman if you are around, what's the best place to get a replacement bulb for the H77?
