I just got a logitech harmony from buy.com today and while its an impressive and substantial looking remote, I'm a bit dissapointed in how its handling activities. Specifically, it isn't get the HDMI inputs correct on my Westinghouse tv.

Its a real PITA to scroll through those inputs as it scans for a signal on each before switching to the next--this is something I was hoping to bypass. Now its even more fustrating hitting the help button and going through their steps "Is it on, did this fix it, did this fix it, did this fix it"

Is there something I can do to get things going a little more smoothly.

TV is a 42 inch westinghouse tx pannel
HD DVD - Tosh A2
BD - PS3
Scientific Atlanta cable box.

Note--once I manually select the input everything seems to work alright.

Select Device mode for the TV and try all the "Input" commands listed. If you can find commands to go directly to each input you can set the remote to use those commands and bypass the "cycling".

Gopher-did the previous poster's rec. work for you?
Im about to pull the trigger on this remote and im intersted in hearing your final thoughts.
BTW-whats the difference b/w the 520 and 550?

Thank you for the suggestion. I gave it a go, but unfortunately, I don't think there are separate comands for the various HDMI inputs. Its still nice to simplify to 2 remotes (damn bluetooth ps3!)--maybe logitech will come out with a fix. I read on the forums they came up with a solution to a similar problem with Olivea tvs.

kwitel,

I'm not sure what the difference is between this and the 520. I think I've read of people complaining that the 520 felt flimsy, but I think all of these harmonys pretty much do the same thing.

You need to figure out if the Westinghouse has discrete inputs.

They can only come up with a fix if you phone them and inform them of the problem.
