I just set up my Panasonic PT-AX200U and am having trouble. The projector turns on, but within a minute or so, begins to dim in stages from bright to dark to darker and then back to full brightness. After doing this a couple of times the projector then shuts down. Once powered down it will not turn back on unless I toggle the on off switch. I have tried everything I could think of to find out where the trouble was coming from, i.e. using a different source of power, changing cables from my HD-DVD player to the PJ, turning off "Dynamic Iris and Light Harmonizer", changing the output resolution on my HD-DVD player. What could be wrong? Any ideas how to fix the PJ from dimming and then turning off?

Try turning off the light harmonizer and auto iris function. Hopefully that works. But you may have a defective unit.

My PT-AX100 demonstrated the same symptoms after a little over 200 hours of operation. Panasonic tech support said it was defective and it's now on it's way to Heartland for repairs. I think you can assume that your projector is also defective, as it belongs to the same family of projectors.

Short answer - defective, so return.

Got mine in 2 days ago, no issue at all like you're mentioning.

I got mine three days ago, having problems with a horizontal line that runs up the screen like the old TV's when you had to adjust the hold. Any ideas on how to get rid of it?
