There is a weird colored spot on the right hand side of my display, it just formed within the last week or so, it measures about 2x3" on a 100" screen.
It is only really noticeable on a pure white or light colored screen, not so much when watching a movie.

I was thinking it might have something to do with the old bulb in my projector it has about 2300 hours and is starting to dim.

Any other ideas?

It's not going to be related to your lamp. It doesn't look like dust/debris, but I suppose it could be. Try taking your projector out of focus in both directions and see if the edges become more defined. If they do, it's dust. If not, I'm at a complete loss as to what it could be.

Yeah weird dude. I don't think it's the bulb either. Feeling lucky with canned air?

Yeah, so I tried taking my projector out of focus. The spot does not change much, only gets a little bigger and smaller because of the focus difference but does not become more defined. :confused:
