So i have a couple questions... if i turn the contrast up in the service menu does that mean that im turning up the default. Meaning that the user menu settings will stay the same but the contrast default will be brighter?

The only reason i was in there this time was to check the tv timer.... counting for break in... but the rest im curious about. i like my plasma bright but nowhere near an lcd brightness.

your first thought was correct...it will raise the default on your tv.
