ok, this is frustrating. i have all my stuff set as best as I can see. i can watch cable fine. but while i'm watching cable, during a commercial i switch over to my pc and everything switches over fine. ok, switch back to cable, still hunky dory. Now, i power everything off with the universal off button on the 880 (except the receiver, that stays on all the time as programmed).

Now here's the kicker, whenever I go to turn on the pc or anything other than the input the receiver was on prior to shutting off, the remote won't change the input. then i click help and it changes the input. What gives? Do i have to click input every time I turn things on other than what was currently on prior to turn things off?

I hope this is understandable. I can see this could be confusing. I'm just a wee bit frustrated by this and may need to elaborate further. If you understnad the jibberish I've written thus far and have a solution, you would save me some gray hairs.

If the Help buton fixes the problem, then the most likely problem is that the delay/repeats settings are not correct. There's a sticky at the top of this thread about adjusting the various delays and repeats.

My guess based on your description is that you have to adjust the Power On Delay for your receiver. It usually takes a second or so to power up before the receiver will accept any commands.
