yeah.. I have it. PQ is lousy... pixelation...

i flipped over during the commercials on the football game... yea, pq is seriously lacking in that game... pixelation all over the place...

Commercials look better than the game. That is unfortunate.

Saw highlights on ESPN and they had the same issue, so definitely a TNT issue. Boy was it bad.

They are testing out if they can degrade HD even further. They've gotten away with the linear stretch, tremendous sized popups, and labeling everything as HD. This is just their next step.

How about use no stretch. Then you can stretch content as you see fit and others can watch it OAR.

Today in Richmond, VA they unstretched two local channels; NBC 12 and 35-2 (MyNetwork). So I am holding out hope for National channels.

LA/Den PQ is really nasty. This is some of the worst HD I have ever seen. Its worst than the ND NBC games.

It pixelates even when the players are just walking slowly. Also has random orange pixels all over the place. Watching on D*, TNT should be ashamed.

TNTHD used to have decent PQ on their basketball games. The pixelation and what I assume is a cross color convergence issue (the weird colored artifacts) is getting worse.

Comcast here & it was horrible! First game was bad too... both the game (Celtics winning by almost 50) and the PQ! :rolleyes:

Comcast here too. I agree, had to be the worst PQ I've ever seen for a sporting event, including NBC. Really disappointing considering it was only the second Celtics game I got to watch in HD this year and turned out to be less than HD. Hopefully tonight's Celtics game on ESPN will be better although I'm not too worried about ESPN's PQ.

Absolutely god awful PQ. NBA on TNT used to be pretty good, except for quick camera pans (usually after a basket, as players got back down court) but last nite was a new low. Red blotches, shimmering, stuttering...YUCK!

I usually watch the HD feeds of sports because the SD looks like over compressed garbage on my large SD projection tv. I noticed the blurs also. Looked like crap.

Comcast in Mass. here. The absolute worst I have seen. By comparison the Bruins on NESN and Football on NFL looked 100x better.

What is funny is that I never have watched NBA basketball until last night. I flipped through the channels and saw how bad the broadcast was. I watched it for several minutes trying to figure out if it was the broadcast or my TV.

I finally figured out it was TNT so I will probably never watch an NBA again. Hey at least they got me to watch it for 3.5 minutes. That is more than normal. It is kind of like the Miami Dolphins running the table in reverse. Yes, they get the record but not really the one they want!

During the postgame show, they were showing some SD highlights from a game that was on FSN Bay Area, and the PQ had the same issues as TNT's games did. But the PQ of the show itself was just fine. Maybe they were having some trouble with the equipment that receives the remote feeds last night?

I havent seen any NBA on TNT yet this season, but is it as bad as some of the ESPN games where the HD is so fuzzy that it looks like standard def 16:9? ESPN is real hit and miss, I've seen nasty, almost SD-looking games and I've also seen some very crisp and clear ones.

I had to get on here and make sure it was as bad for me as it was for everybody else. It was so bad that I thought my tv was broken. And why would you never watch an nba game again b/c the color was messed up on 1 game that you watched? Makes no sense.

Picture quality was horrible for me also, here in L.A. The result on the court was pretty nice however. :)

This was an absolute horror show. It wasn't stretched and it was clearly intended to be HD but it was like watching an old TV with an antenna that wasn't working properly where you can't get the focus in properly.

Truly a stunning piece of garbage sent to us. No damn excuse for it. :mad:

I was watching the highlights of TNT's game on ESPN Sportscenter and the red splotchy crap and pixelation was visible then as well. I guess ESPN is getting TNT's lousy feed as well.

Resurrecting this old thread, as the image on last night's TNT game between the Warriors and Nets looked really good from all of the cameras. I wasn't watching the game in full detail, listening to it more, but whenever I looked at the screen, it looked like a nice crisp image that was comparable to what the ESPN/ABC games look like, and a bit better than the NBA TV games that get rebroadcast on Mojo.

Next week is a great doubleheader on TNT
