Hey there
This is for all the people that like independent and arthouse cinema.
The fantastic drama from New Zeeland "In my Fathers Den" was released in Germany couple of days ago.
Quality (audio and video) is pretty good and they even managed to pack lot's of extras on there (audio commentary, interviews, deleted scenes...)

It's english friendly... and while I can't 100 percent confirm it's regionfree, it's definetly worth checking out
It's a great film and I love seing a film like that released in HD... cause I'm getting tired of all these mainstream Blockbuster releases.

You can order it here:

Edit: Bla, the link doesn't work, just search for "als das meer verschwand blu" on amazon.de to find it

Thanks for the info Skinship,

I'll have to pick this one up... looks promising.

It has Miranda Otto from LoTR in it.

This is an absolutely amazing movie. I was pleasantly surprised on how good it was. Definitely a double dip once my wishlist clears up a bit.

Can you be a little more specific regarding audio and video specifications?

This is indeed an excellent film that I would love to have on Blu-ray!

Thanks,

Mitch

Thanks for the info!

One more question: is this the cut version missing a scene of consensual asphyxiation totalling almost two minutes, or the complete, original film?

I looks like the running time is 128 min., which is correct, but it's hard to make out.

Thanks again,

Mitch

I went ahead and ordered this one, and it is indeed the complete, uncut film.

Great to have this terrific movie on Blu-ray. I popped it in just to check PQ and SQ (both great, particularly the sound) and found myself drawn into the story again and couldn't turn it off.

Highly recommended!

By the way, there is a dedication on the inside of the cover to the director, Brad McGann, who sadly passed away in 2007.
