Does anyone know whether the 5 free HD DVDs promotion applies to Venturer players?

It applies to the 360 add-on, so it's obviously not completely restricted to Toshiba standalones...

Rumour is that it doesn't.

Still going to send in for it, though. Doesn't hurt to try.

The 360 add on is listed separately on the rebate form. I wouldn't get your hopes up.

I'm not sure what you're getting at. The 360 add-on is just one of the three checkboxes in the "Buy any of the following HD DVD products" list...

Even if they decided to support the Venturer, it wouldn't be included in the list since the form is pre-Venturer.

Cross your fingers they add the venturer player to the promotion.

Blu Ray added the Sharp player to both the US and canada offer about 2 weeks after it released. They revised the forms and a new copy was available thru the promotion website.

I emailed Toshiba and Venturer about this (pressure from both sides). I also mentioned that BluRay adds new players to their offer list...

Maybe if more people do this (hint hint...) :D
