Some sources say that this weekend's USC v. UCLA game will be broadcast in HD and others don't. For example, TitanTV's listing doesn't indicate HD, but HDSportsGuide.com says it's HD (though they've been wrong before).

Does anyone have ABC's college football regional coverage map for Dec. 1 and/or know for certain if the USC v. UCLA game will be broadcast in HD? It's not looking good, but I'll be surprised and disappointed if they don't broadcast such a big game in HD.

Not to be a jerk, but what's your source for knowing this game will be broadcast in HD? I've run across multiple directory listings, including TitanTV which is linked from KABC7 LA, that don't indicate that this game will be broadcast HD, but the other ABC games this weekend are shown to be HD.

Unfortunately, there was at least one other ABC game this year that was supposed to be in HD but wasn't.

I have many sources for the information RemyM linked to. I spend several hours a week getting and confirming the HD games.

(Admittedly, I am not ALWAYS infallible, there were numerous confirmations earlier this year that a Hawaii game would in in HD -- and it wasn't.

And aside from my sources, the DirecTV program guide, usually fairly accurate, lists the game in HD.

By the way, there is no regional coverage map for ABC tomorrow. That is because all three games are national broadcasts: the ACC Championship, UCLA at USC and the Big XII Championship.

And ABC announced some time ago that all of its national NCAA football broadcasts would be in HD.

The national coverage piece makes perfect sense. Thanks to both of you for providing this info.
