o.k., i jumped on the plasma bandwagon over 4 years ago and have enjoyed my pio503cmx, the best I can do is 1080I via component cables,
I want to upgrade my receiver and I am wondering if I should future proof myself and get a receiver with hdmi inputs and outputs or get an older model.
I want to run my wii via component, along with my sa4200 cable box via component,
I will be upgrading my dvd player to a new one soon and probably get one that can do 1080p which wont really matter,
I have my eye on the hkavr247, the sony 910 and the onkyo 605?
Dont see a new plasma in the near future so any recommendations for me,
Maybe I should go for an older receiver without hdmi and save up for my new plasma in a few years, any thoughts?

Save money? Your looking at relatively inexpensive AVR's here.

Something like Denon 4802 used perhaps? Not that it would really be any cheaper, but you would be getting a much better piece of gear.
