I wanted to buy a HDD recorder and I wanted the Philips DVDR3575.

Now, the main feature I 'm looking for is to be able to play a DIVX from USB ( USB Key or USB HDD ).

I read the notice and the DVDR3575 can only play sound from USB.

I've a friend who have a Liteon and for after one year, the DVD can't recognise already all DVD ... ( I don't want to use so much the DVD actually )

Anyway, is someone know a good HDD recorder able to have this flexibility around the DIVX ?

Don't think you'll find anything that does that. What's wrong with playing divx on the dvd player.

I usually change my DVD-ROM or burner every 2 years
Burner are very sensitive to DVD-RW after a while.

I feel it's easier to put your movie DIVX on a USB key 4go.

It's fast and you don't use 'mecaniquely' the DVD.
