View Full Version : Heat Sink for Panny ?

I saw a posting somewhere with a photo which showed a heat sink added onto the Panasonic LSI chip by a consumer. But I can't find it anywhere when I search.

I have seen messages where Pannys are running hot and perhaps the high temp is causing failure of the chip. I know it would void any remaining warranty. But if you had a good working unit & kept it cool perhaps you could extend its life way past the warranty. Better for you now & after warranty.

If anyone here added a heat sink sink to the LSI chip, any suggestions on size, type, brand, etc would be appreciated. Seems like this would be a simple, low cost project.

While a search in this forum yielded no results, a Google search came up with something under this thread:
