Does anyone own one of these? Rotel makes some great amps and receivers, but I hear so little about their DVD players. My Rotel dealer tells me this player is the best in class and blows away the Denon. Any thoughts? I'm surprised that I have seen so little (basically nothing) about this DVD player on here. Thanks in advance for your feedback.

Of course your Rotel dealer says it blows away the Denons. Does he sell Denon too? :) The Rotel appears to use some video processor that JVC uses in their players. It doesn't play SACD. The 1092 got a OK review at Secret's but like I said in your other thread (I moved it here) you can get more and spend less.

The irony of the situaion is that my B&W/Rotel dealer in Boston, MA sells all of the high end Denon DVD players, but bashes them to no end when comparing the Denons to the Rotel. But then again, they also say that neither BD and/or HD will make it, and that I should look at the $5800 Esoteric DVD player as well :)
