I just got a ps3 and will be hooking it up to my new Sony 60A3000 as well as my new Onkyo TXSR805 receiver.
From reading through the threads it appears I should have my ps3 set for PCM for all instances except when a movie has DTS-HD MA, and then i should change it to bitstream.
My question though... how do I tell if a movie has DTS-HD MA? Is there a list of current and future movies that have/will have this?

Wow, I saw quite a few movies there with DTS-HD MA. Am I correct that the PS3 can send DTS-HD MA over HDMI to my receiver via bitstream?

No, unfortunately. It was speculated in the past that the PS3's 9132 HDMI transmitter was not spec'ed for HBR (TrueHD and DTS-HD MA). An AVS member recently contacted the HDMI chip manufacturer and was told that 9132 cannot do bitstream of HBR. Take this for what it's worth because Sony has neither confirmed or denied this. But I tend to lean toward the possibility that it cannot.
The more hopeful scenario is that Sony can release a firmware that can decode DTS-HD MA and pass via HDMI as PCM. But that has not happened yet.
If you want to enjoy DTS-HD MA now, you can't do it with a PS3. It will however output the DTS core at 1.5 Mbits/sec, which sounds decent but not lossless.
The best player to get to enjoy DTS-HD MA at the moment is Panasonic BD30; it is profile 1.1 compliant.
