has anyone found a replacement / upgrade fan

for the Hitachi 50v500 LCD rear projection TV?

I've had mine for four years and love it - except for the gosh darn . completely annoying fan noise

any help would be appreciated - I'm going nuts over here and just may put my foot through it soon :p

At the time I posted this Best Buy has the part in-stock, while Circuit City's is backordered.

If you decide to replace the part yourself and you've never done it before, then I would also recommend the following link below where you can download a manual that walks you through dismanteling the TV (it's at the very end of the manual). This guide also includes photos of the dismanteling process. The dismanteling in the manual was in order to get to the light engine, but it still applies when trying to get at that fan. It was extemely helpful for me. Please note though, that the link below takes you to a site that will require you to download the manual in 14 pieces, and when you are done you will then need to join those pieces to create the final manual. It's a pain in the butt, especially if you aren't tech-savvy, but it's worth the hassle to have that manual.
