well im looking to upgrade m center speaker, right now its just the one that came with the onkyo htib, i replaced the fronts with the insignia 6.5" bookshelfs, im almost finished with my TC2000 12 sub and ep2500, just need to put one more piece on the box

so i need a new center, problem is i cant use ones that are tall with 6.5" mids, 5 1/4's are cutting it close, ive looked at a few like the

Even if you're not a super audiophile its best to get a speaker from the same brand and series as your front main speakers.

well i cant because they dont make matching, i tried to find some from the people who make the speakers but they dont make center speakers anymore

It is important to have at least a front sound stage that is matched.

I would buy the center that sounds the best to you, save up and buy matching fronts to the center and move the insignias to the rear where the difference won't be as pronounced.

By the way - KEF's are great speakers (i am biased :D).

Use the pull down state menu and make some calls, perhaps they could be ordered for you from a KEF authorized dealer.

I don't think you could go wrong with either of those, they are both good, reputable brands. I would try to find them both and listen to them, buying the one that sounds the best to you.

Good luck!
