It looked great on the teaser trailer on the Sherk HDDVD, along with Sherk 1&2, Over the Hedge, and Madagascar. There was a mouse one too.

I wonder if all of those jukebox videos are there as a teaser for what is coming in '08 from Dreamworks.

You have to think they have gotten everything together to release these. These will absolutely be double-dips for me as my son loves these. And I wouldn't mind having HD versions to play down in the living room for him.

The "mouse" one BTW was Flushed Away, which would look awesome on HD DVD.

Just one Shark Tale would be enough for me.

I will pass, shark tale is one of dreamwork's WORST animated movies.

Sure it can  Pixar isn't without their stinkers.

Which one ? ...That's just my opinion, I do think Pixar makes the best animated films right now. I mean, I don't know what we're gonna have with Shrek 4, but the 3rd one wasn't really good: the formula gets tired.

(and I did like movies like Meet The Robinsons as well, I find Ice Age 1-2 excellent too, etc... but still, I think Pixar is still above everyone: graphic quality, script, their choices of actors, etc)

That movie was Weak. And I was not bothered by the gay shark. Just plain lame >>> Shark mafia and stupid crap like that. LAME!

Pixar is not the be-all-end-all of animated stuff. Madagascar and Bee Movie are pretty good movies themselves. Shrek 1 was as good as most Pixar movies.

Of all those Dreamworks titles, Shark Tale is probably my least favorite. But I know I'd buy the others as soon as they became available, and I'd probably get ST, too (my son likes it) but it wouldn't be as high a priority.

Really, does it matter that anyone may or may not "top" Pixar (which, btw is highly subjective)? Because every film isn't Toy Story or Finding Nemo doesn't mean they're not enjoyable or worth it. I personally don't really like many Dreamworks animated movies (Shrek aside) but I welcome any and all they bring to HD DVD because that means someone who does like one I don't will buy it, which leads to increased sales, which leads to more reason to keep releasing in the format, which is the main reason for us supporting HD DVD in the first place, no? The more the merrier I say.

Of course and I couldn't agree more. I do like a lot of other animated films, but Dreamworks and Pixar are often subjects to comparison, and that's why it came to my mind in the first place.

Madagascar, please!!

They should release all of them starting with whatever one had the highest box office gross (I think that would be Shrek1&2 and then Madagascar). I am surprised they haven't released Shrek yet.

Is there a list of titles that each studio has for catologs? Would be nice to see what is possible to come out.

I'd only get Shrek 1&2 and Over the Hedge. I didn't like Shark Tale at all and found Madagascar painful to watch.

For me, nothing tops Shrek 1 & 2 for CGI animated films! I love Toy Story 1 & 2 and the rest of the Pixar films, but the Shrek films are hilarious for adults as well as kids. Pixar is pretty much aimed at kids.

I love Antz as well. Woody Allen voicing a character in a CGI film was simply hilarious, and Sylvester Stallone was great too.

As for a list from Dreamworks Animation, they have;

Computer-animated films

Antz (October 2, 1998)
Shrek (May 18, 2001)
Shrek 2 (May 21, 2004)
Shark Tale (October 1, 2004)
Madagascar (May 27, 2005)
Over the Hedge (May 19, 2006)
Shrek the Third (May 18, 2007)
Bee Movie (November 2, 2007)

Traditionally-animated films

The Prince of Egypt (December 18, 1998)
The Road to El Dorado (March 31, 2000)
Joseph: King of Dreams (November 7, 2000)
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron (May 24, 2002)
Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas (July 2, 2003)

Stop-motion films

Chicken Run (June 23, 2000)
Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit (October 7, 2005)
Flushed Away (November 3, 2006)

Most of these titles would be on my "buy" list just to add to the library. But the Computer animated and stop motion films would be definite buys. Most of them would be double dipping also.

Flushed Away (November 3, 2006)
Flushed Away was not stop-motion, it was just animated to mimic it.

IMO Pixar's stories have gone down the tubes since Finding Nemo. I think Nemo was their last great one, the rest have just been "ok".

I also have to agree that Shark Tales was only OK. Shrek 1 and 2 were fantastic, 3, not so much.

Of all their films, Cars is the one I like the least. It's just the idea of talking cars... Anyway... The Incredibles and Ratatouille are great imo. My favorite is still Monster's inc though.
