I don't recall whether NBC has put this on in HD in years past, or even if a transfer has been made, and I couldn't find out on an AVSFORUM archive search. It's scheduled for 12/14 this year, and my 10 year old has never seen it - i figure she's ready. Also, is NBC the only one showing this on TV? I presume so... Thanks.

Being NBC, i'm not sure. Its A Wonderful Life ended up in the public domain in 1974 and then got aired for a decade or two all over the place (including a colorized version I can remember)---the first time I saw that movie was on the local public TV station during a fundraiser about 20 years ago. The movie was put back under copyright recently and NBC has the broadcast rights for the time being.
