Hello everyone, i'm new to this forum & know nothing about TV's. I bought a Mistu. 65733 on black friday from best buy for $1299.99 (& I think that's a great deal). I got it last Friday & it had a very high pitch noise coming from the back. I read all the reviews after I purchased it so I took it back for an other one today & the new one still has the high pitch sound. I also noticed that in the center of the screen with the tv off there looks to be a light grey circle like the size of a baseball. Kind of looks like it is a shadow but I moved the TV around & it is still there. Is this normal? What should I do about the high pitched sound that is coming from the back of the TV? Should I exchange it for an other one? I have to keep the volume higher than normal so that it doesn't bother me. Thanks for any help you can give me!!!

It could be the color wheel. You should be able to hear it, but not as loud as a whisper.

I have a Sony PRTV and had both of those issues. From everything I have read they are normal with many RPTV's. The whirring sound in mine faded over time and after a week or so I did not hear it anymore unless I really tried. My TV also has the gray glow in the center when I turn it off and the instruction manual says it is normal and is just from the bulb. I can't see it when the TV is on and that is all that matters.
