My DSM-320 works OK via a wireless connection to my router but sometimes video can stutter, especially if there's loud music on the soundtrack. I thought that a wired connection would help.
I want to connect the DSM-320 to the PC on my wireless network that actually has all my media files. I thought that I would be able to use a crossover cable to connect the DSM-320 and the PC but, despite giving each machine a static IP address, the DSM-320 clearly cannot connect sufficiently well to see the TVersity media server software running on the PC. Does anyone have any experience of doing this please or, if not, any ideas?
I cannot wire the PC to the router and the router to the DSM-320 because of physical constraints but wiring the DSM-320 directly to the PC is possible because they are in adjacent rooms.
