I purchased the Xpress RC and intalled it in a 2002 Chevrolet Impala. Last night I went out and purchased Sure Connect. I hooked it up and although the reception is better, I am still hearing static as well as the reception dropping out in certain areas. Prior to having XM, I subscribed to XM's competitor and never had any of these problems. I tried using all of the frequencies offered, but that did not work. The antenna is located on the trunk. Is there anything I can do to improve the reception? Thanks.

Is it possible for you to hardwire it in?

The Impala is my work car so I really cannot alter it too much as it is not something that I own. I hate to have to cancel service and return everything. Hope someone can help. Thanks.
I've used the FM direct adapter on all 3 of the work vehicles I've had in the past 5 years. Takes no more than 10 minutes to install, half that to remove. $25 and 10 minutes for VASTLY improved sound quality and no interference or static is 100% worthwhile in my book.

My delphi uses FM for my A4 (not the adpter) and I have no static and love the sound.
