Popped in Transformers today and noticed it did another web update, which it hasn't done since the intitial loading. I'm not one for extra features so I'm no sure what new content is now there that was not before, but thought I'd pass along the info.

You obviously like the movie, so you should take a few minutes to check out those extra features. They are pretty freaking cool.

New updated extras? Gonna hafta watch it again. The extras were awesome before. Wonder what they added.

Yeah, the menubots are available. They are essentially just skins for the in-movie menu bar. They have Bumblebee, Megatron, and Optimus.

My 2nd disc has never been able to play in my add-on. Are you talking about Disc 1?

My 2nd disc also didn't work but I returned it for another 2 weeks later and it worked perfect. Must have been a batch of bad discs. Anyways, I will have to check out the menubots, about time they updated it. I was expecting all the features to be available when the disc was released, not get a bunch on coming soons.

Ha, I put it in the other day to check on this, noticed that there hadn't been an update yet and was wondering what was taking so long, so it's nice to hear this. Sucks if it's deleting bookmarks though (although I haven't made any yet)

At least you can use the bookmark feature on this movie. If you try to set a bookmark on the Xbox 360 add-on it freezes.

i logged in and found the previous clips I had downloaded thru this Transformers Web feature were gone. :(

Well that sucks, for me. My bookmarks are all gone. I have the RCA HDV5000.

If you performed a firmware update on your player (complete with initialization,) all of your bookmarks would be erased. Otherwise, I have no idea why you'd lose your bookmarks - all of mine are still there and I'm using the Prime menu.

Nope, no update. I went to download the menubots, then selected the bumblebee menu. Went to select one of my scenes that I was using to setup my new speakers and no bookmarks in site. Oh well I went and bookmarked those scenes again.

I downloaded this last night, no issues that I could see with other features (I have an A2) and at the moment I'm sticking with Optimus Prime. It would be cool if they offer an update to the menubots later on.

Dec. 7, 2007 - Just realized this morning that Paramount / Dreamworks also ADDED A 'NEW' Sector 7 Secret Flim Clip #7 - Longest film clip out of the previous 6 (2 mins. 21 secs.) this one dealing with a Dr. Rebecca Howard chasing Starscream w/video camera in her car!

I will update this thread, ... if in the future, they add another Sector 7 Secret Film Clip(s), ... or in a year or so add the Advance "Transformers 2" Trailer (like they did with Heroes: Season 2).

I always seem to have problems if I allow it to download web updates when the disc loads. Now I can't even play the disc, I get error 408b4203. If I unplug the network cable it works fine.

i downloaded the menubot feature but it won't work for me, i delete it and re downloaded it a total of 3 times and still no go. i have the toshiba A-1 and i have the latest update the profiler works but the menubot don't. when i download it and it says it's complete it doesn't give me the option to pick the menubot that i want. this has been the feature i've been looking forward to and now it won't work for me.

anybody know what might be happening?

OK this morning when I tried to update it was taking forever to get to the start up menu. The initial downloading web enabled content seems to take forever so I let it load and took a shower. After I dressed 25 minutes later it was still downloading. I think the system is screwed up. It will probably work in a few days. I tested Blood Diamond, 300, Knocked Up, Shrek 3 all worked fine with web content and downloaded no problem. This problem is specific to the Transformers stuff. I would try again in a couple of days.

Not sure but it's happening to me too. Funny thing is, when this 1st came out I updated and it worked fine. Now it doesn't. Oh well movie plays fine, guess I should be thankful for that?

The Sector 7 #7 clip was actually added a few days ago. I noticed it before the menubots were added. Thanks for the continued updates though, keep it up.

Going to have to take a look at the new Profiler extra. I'm also quite hopeful to get an audio commentary from the cast. Wouldn't that be awesome?

Do you mean to say your wireless router? If yes, just get a spare Ethernet cable and plug it into one of the open ports on the back of the router (there should be four ports on the back of your router, one is being taken up by your PC). Then connect the other side into your HD-A1.

Refer to your manual, there should be clear instructions there (I don't have the HD-A1, but I imagine they explained how the online hook-up worked).

Edit: By the way, I just noticed that my bookmarks are gone. They must have been deleted on that most recent update. Strange...

Same thing with the Venturer SHD7000 (which is apparently a rebranded A3).

Has anybody emailed Dreamworks about this?

It's not a big deal, but it is a bug, and I think it's in our best interest to email them to get the bug fixed to help them make future downloads bug-free.

I'm gonna email them, and I encourage everybody else with the same problem to do the same (so far, there are 3 people with 3 different players reporting the problem).

yeah no Menubots on my add on. I tried it last night, works fine on my A-20. Has anyone sucessfully used the Menubots on an add-on?

Anyone know when they will unlock the "login" feature? I can't input my username, when I click it but it lets me use my password. I assume because the scene sharing feature hasn't been launched yet?

I have the Venturer player and I have the same problem. "Play" and "Delete" are my only two options. What gives??!

There is NO hyphen in HD DVD, but Paramount appears to have not gotten their web site indexed anywhere.

So I finally hooked up my D3 to the internet and was trying out one of the on-line features. I watched the movie with the GPS/Transformer health tool. One thing it does is have pop up back story through the movie. Pretty cool, but on a few of the factoids it appears that there is more text to be displayed in the window. I cannot figure out how to scroll the text though to finish reading. Anybody figure this out?

I was having the same issues your currently having the week the Web Features were updated (a week or two ago). I DLed the menubots feature again on Friday and the option to select which robot to use as a menu worked like a charm. Oh, and BTW, I'm using the 360 add-on.

The bookmark-saving problem was fixed in this week's Player update.

Those, (screen captures) looked nice and presentable neat and tidy on the page without the need to scroll halfway over the screen in the horizontal position if you know what I mean.:D

To anyone who had problems with the menubots feature (I did)...

I emailed Paramount a while back about the problem, and they emailed me today to inform me that the problem has been fixed. Here is the info provided to customer support by one of the software designers:

"You may tell your customers that have experienced issues, that the next time they insert their Transformer’s HD-DVD disc (after tomorrow) that it should cycle on start-up and download a new service pack that will make the features work as intended. (There is no need to clear out their player persistent memory since the new service pack will have an updated number which will be recognized by the machine and automatically download the new service pack overwriting the prior one – they just need to pop the disc in anew and let it power up like normal)"
