I hope Comcast picks up AMC HD sooner or later.

Not that I care about any of these channels, but I wonder if DirecTV will be adding them in about four hours.

At this moment D* is upgrading their site, so we'll see.

This is from a month ago:

Rainbow, for one, is in the process of developing high-definition versions of AMC, IFC and We TV.

Well we know for sure that FSNY HD and MSG HD are coming tomorrow. I would think that WGN and these three new channels should be added as well.

Any comments on the quality, quanity, etc.. of the HD on these channels from someone who is getting them?

IFC always airs in OAR; I would suspect their HD channel to do the same. The other networks are owned by the same parent company as IFC (Rainbow Media), so while I am not familiar with them particularly, it would make sense for them to follow the same broadcasting standards.

I wish I had AMC HD last night. Watched Open Range and if there was ever a movie that should be in Wide Screen HD that is it. Very nice movie with great cinematography.

I wish I would have had it for the "Planet of the Apes" movies.

It just slightly ruins the "see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil" scene when you can only see the middle orangutang.

I have been reading about MAD MEN being a good show on AMC. I guess the new season premieres soon. IF AMC goes HD on D*, I plan on sampling MAD MEN.

Lately D* seems to lagging adding HD channels (Travel, AMC, WGN, WE...), yet they charge an arm and a leg for their service.

Huh, since my bill went down when I switched from Comcast (no promotional packages) and I got more, better HD and more channels in general...

D11 got parked today and the HD expansion will begin shortly

Yeah, that $10/month is so much more expensive than everyone else...

And as jefbal said, we'll be getting more channels shortly. Could be as early as Wednesday.
