So my brother needs to buy a new TV. He is looking for something large for his viewing area.

I know that the new XBR wont ship till early jan. but how about the samsung TV's..any word on those models?

I believe the 2008 70" XBR models were initally scheduled for the fall of '07. So basically the Samsung '08 models most likely wont come out till Sept/Oct of '08.
