My local cable company (RCN) provides both a local PBS feed (in standard def) and (what I believe to be) the national PBS feed (in HD). Naturally, anything I watch on PBS is on the HD feed. ;)

The programming on the two feeds is different; programs I hear about or see advertised in the newspaper list the day/time for the local/SD feed but don't mention when the program will appear on the national/HD feed.

Although PBS.org provides a useful programming guide for local feeds (by zipcode), the site seems to go out of its way to provide any type of guide for the national feed. Any idea why that is?

I suspect what you're seeing is WLVT (Channel 8) and WLVTCAB (channel 184). Most online program guide sources provide separate listings for both.

Thanks. So there is no 'national PBS HD' feed then? I figured it must have been a national feed because it never mentions any local sponsors nor does it make any mention of it being "WLVT"; rather, they simply say "This is PBS".

May I ask where you viewed the guide for "WLVTCAB"? I Google'd "WLVTCAB", but the only helpful result was on tvlistings.aol.com.

While I can view the guide on my DVR, it would be helpful to see it online, too. PBS's web site is useless; no matter which options I choose, it refuses to display the guide for the local HD channel.
