Hello all.

I am trying to run my Toshiba 26" (26HF85) as my Home Entertainment Center off a mod'd Digital Audio G4. The video is being fed from a NVidia GForce 4X with the ADC connection converted to DVI with the Apple ADC-DVI adapter. A DVI to HDMI cable connects it to the TV. The problem I am getting is that I can not find the right combination of screen size, horizontal frequency, pixel frequency, or refresh rate. I'm even having a bit of trouble figuring out the native resolution as I'm dealing with overscan on the top.

Where is a good place to start to get this information? I bought the service manual online, but it doesn't have this information. It is an older monitor, and I'm concerned I've spent a fair amount of money and way to much time trying to get this to work.

I have DisplayConigX to play with, but I'm needing some reference to understand how everything works.

Thanks in advance.

I'd suggest you try SwitchResX instead of DisplayConfigX. DisplayConfigX is cripple-ware - you can't use the real resolutions until you pay for it, but who would pay for it not knowing if they can get it to work? SwitchResX by contrast lets you do everything, for a limited time. And, there's a tutorial in this forum on how to set up SwitchResX.

I agree with Doug about using SwitchResX.
I'm using it on my mini and it's very good. Also, Stephane Madrau, the author of SwitchResX, is very very friendly and helpful guy. I had some problems with switchresx not running properly ('cause I had f**cked up some system files) and he spent a lot of time helping me troubleshooting (successfully in the end).
Best,

I'll give srx a try this weekend. Any idea if it is X.5 compatible?
