I want to be able to view Vista Media Center on my HD TV (720P) and watch movies streamed from my desktop PC over a wireless network. (Draft N)
I have been waiting for the DSM-750 or DMA 2100 forever and I have not been able to find any reviews.

Are there any other solutions available?

Also, would I be able to use PowerDVD within VMC to watch HD movies streamed to my TV? I am looking at the LG GGC-H20L BLU-RAY/HD-DVD drive for my desktop, it uses PowerDVD for the player.

Thanks in advance. :)

Why not just hook up your Vista PC to your TV?

Because it's large. Also this is my gaming PC, I can't play on the computer while the kids want to watch something on the TV. My ultimate setup would be a second computer as a HTPC but I can't spend the money. But I would spend 200 for a media extender. I did look at adding a DVI Audio to HDMI adpater from Gefen, but it costs 300, plus this would put all the load on my PC. I have a 8800GTX with dual DVI outputs.

Take a look at the Netgear EVA 8000. Most of the discussion is on the Netgear forums. They have an active beta program and the latest betas are getting pretty good. The DLink DSM-720 is about 70% of the price and will do most of what you want with the latest firmware. I don't think you will be able to stream from your disk drive. You will probably have to rip the movies to your hard drive. Warning, if you want to stream HD you will definitely need a wired network.
