LCD or plasma? My friend plans on getting 2 50" and 4 40" and then some smaller ones to place here and there.

My friend plans on getting 2 50" and 4 40" and then some smaller ones to place here and there. ccotenj 12-07-07, 08:37 PM plasma. the bigger the better. lots of them. :D how big of a bar are we talking? 42" is pretty small. he/she might want to consider talking to a "professional" about it. installing, wiring, control boxes, etc., present some unique challenges in a commercial establishment. mikemikeb 12-08-07, 11:10 AM LCDs are more plentiful and perhaps economical once you go below 40". ccotenj 12-08-07, 04:42 PM LCDs are more plentiful and perhaps economical once you go below 40". that's true, and i thought about that before i answered. the problem with "inexpensive" lcds is that viewing angles tend to be limited, and when in a bar (ask me how i know :p ), viewing angles tend not to be perfect... smaller than 40" in a bar would be relatively useless, imo, unless it's a very small establishment... |
