Hi,
I just bought a Pioneer PDP-5080, and I have some sort of lazy or stuck pixel. It's red, and will appear then correct itself to the color on the screen. I'm just wondering if the pixel will eventually die, or turn red (and be stuck on it), which would suck because it's right center of the panel (easy to spot). Should I return the set?

If it's noticeable with "normal" viewing you can make a case to have it replaced. When watching a movie or TV how close are you when you can see it? I wouldn't return it unless you checked ahead of time to see if they'll take it back sight unseen. :)

I got it at Magnolia, so I can replace it in 30 days. I sit about 7-1/2ft. away. The pixel is just right of the center so It is quite noticeable on lighter scenes in movies. What is annoying is that the pixel will correct it self eventually, but it is in my eye line, and now that I know it's there my eyes go right to the stuck pixel.
