I am thinking of picking up this set from Sears by Christmas. Are many of you experiencing judder and flickering issues? I think this set seems to offer more than it's panny counterpart, but it seems people are having some issues. Just was wondering if these issues are commonplace - or maybe it's not happening as much as I think.

very minor and no. if i stare at a sports ticker intensely for a while, I see the judder issue, but for me its really a non-issue because I don't feel it affects the picture. I've never seen it in watching the full screen. also, I've never experienced the flickering issue (or if I have, I never noticed it).

i'm very happy with my purchase. I've read that some people have experienced the above issues and they say it drives them nuts. maybe it's the person, maybe it is a defective display, or maybe a combo of both.

I have a 4254 purchased in early April that has never displayed either problem. A freind had a very small amount of the judder on MSNB ticker over cable. I installed the 1039 update for him and the problem is corrected.
