I notice my SA 8300 DVR outputs my cable programming in RGB. There isn't anywhere in the settings that I can find that can change this. Is that right for broadcast tv to be in RGB?

I believe that when you are using the component output from your cable PVR that it is using YPrPb component format and not RGB component.format The two formats do use the same cables however.
