Yeah, I'd probably get one of these :D
As long as you could drive it around, and chew your shoes, remotely from your PSP.
Stuff magazine is running a rumor item on the possibility of an upcoming Aibo, the robotic dog, working with the Playstation Portable and Playstation 3. The rumor goes that the Sony Aibo PS, as they call it, is being resuscitated by Sony's Playstation division in an attempt to "bolster the PS3's arsenal."

What the hell. What's that going to do with PS3 and PSP? Unless it's going to act like a subwoofer then it's gimmicky! I like my other Sony robots.

LOL that's kinda neat.. although I'd probably get bored with it after about 10 minutes.. how much do one of these things cost?

Aibos on average new cost $2000.00 USD. They are pretty impressive robots though. They run off good AI, can charge themselves, play games, play with toys, etc. It's not something for kids at all. Check some out on Youtube. Pretty neat stuff.
Sony closed their Aibo line and robotics division so I'm curious if this could be real. And if so, will it be old tech or new?

I read the article, this sounds pretty damn cool. May cost a hojillion dollars but would make a good, cold, mechanical replacement for a real dog in my apartment next year with the added bonus of PS connectivity.

Yeah, I have a pretty tiny condo that would be just plain cruel to lock up a real animal in for the long hours I'm at work. I suppose my decision would be based on whether or not they had open source firmware.. so I could "play" with it :D

When Aibo went out of production Sony released the programming code for behaviour and AI to the public for free.
If this guy could use that I don't know.
